Recreational Therapeutic Riding Program For Children
Therapeutic Horseback riding helps with more issues than you
think. The major categories are listed below.
Mental, Developmental, Cognitive, Neurological, Physical, and
Emotional Disabilities and Conditions.
Horseback riding is the great equalizer! We only focus
on what a child can do, not what they can't do!
Tuition assistance may be available for those who are unable to pay the full amount for their
sessions with a Medical Dr. Rx to ride and meeting financial qualifications.
About the program
This program is for regular education (able bodied/minded)
children with ADA recognized disabilities. A parent/guardian
can submit the medical/health information form; indicating any
diagnoses, conditions, or disabilities. A Rx is not required for
most conditions accepted into the recreational therapeutic riding
program, but is required for consideration of any available
tuition scholarships- which would provide tuition discounts,
when available.
These students must be in regular classroom settings at school
but may have an IEP or 504 education plan, they would have
either a physical, emotional, social, cognitive disability, or a
chronic illness that a doctor would recommend horseback riding
for. Children in this program ride in regular group lessons, with
accommodations made for their learning style and individual
needs. Typically you would not be able to "see" their
disabilities without being told about them. Children must be
evaluated for program acceptance, in terms of suitability of
placement and safety. These students do not require volunteers
to participate in the program because they ride
independently/without assistance and can safely follow
directions.

$40 per person, per group lesson Tuition
